Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. She was raised listening to classic and old boleros, along with the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana is passionate about opera and tangos, as well as the dramatic shows that she attends. Ana began learning and singing music with her mother, then began more intense vocal training when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. She continued her musical training through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The beginning of her professional career was spent performing with various opera choruses, chamber groups in Guadalajara. Following her move to California in United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present residence in southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer with classical Latin American music at private occasions. As a teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in many projects in the community due to her enthusiasm and love for music. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able be able to share her love for traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to preserve the traditions.
